UK PM Adv Cummings : No-deal Brexit preparations doing great
United Kingdom’s preparations for leaving the European Union without a deal on October 31 are doing “great,” advisor to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Dominic Cummings, said on Wednesday.
Speaking to Sky News, the man who was behind the Vote Leave campaign, pointed out that he doesn’t believe he is neglecting the constitution.
Responding to calls from Remainers to halt a no-deal Brexit, he said that politicians cannot “choose” if they are going to adhere to the July 2016 referendum result or not.
Cummings added that even if Johnson lost a no-confidence vote, no general election would have to be held until after the UK leaves the EU on October 31.
Earlier, Cummings was called “arrogant” by former attorney general and Tory MP Dominic Grieve who warned that Johnson could lose a no-confidence vote before the Brexit deadline and added that Queen Elizabeth II
could even step in to fire the prime minister “in an extreme case.”
