Japan Monetary Base Climbs 7.4% On Year In June
The monetary base in Japan advanced 7.4 percent on year in June, the Bank of Japan said on Tuesday – coming in at 493.363 trillion yen.
That follows the 8.1 percent gain in May.
Banknotes in circulation added 4.2 percent on year, while coins in circulation were up 1.0 percent.
Current account balances jumped 8.9 percent, including a 6.7 percent jump in reserve balances.
For the second quarter of 2018, the monetary base gained an annual 7.8 percent.
