China Strikes Back at Trump With Its Own Tariffs on U.S. Goods
China will impose an additional 25% tariff on about $50 billion of U.S. imports, according to a statement on its Ministry of Finance website, Bloomberg News reports.
Tariffs on about $34 billion among these U.S. imports will start July 6, including agricultural products, automobiles and seafood. The start date of tariffs on other U.S. imports, including chemicals, medical
equipment and energy products, will be announced later.
